Judith Slaying Holofernes is based on the
famous Baroque painting with the same name,
painted by Artemisia Gentileschi around 1620.
Through stagings and interviews with artist
Maya Eizin Öijer and theology student Jonna
Strömbäck, the painting is reconstructed and
picked apart. Judith Slaying Holofernes is an
analysis, a reenactment as well as a conversation
on aesthetics, drama, mythology, belief, conviction,
and fabric.
Actors:
